Breast Lift with Augmentation

You can have the breasts of your youth – or achieve the perky breasts you’ve always desired – through a breast lift plastic surgery procedure. Gravity, genetics, pregnancy, breast feeding, weight fluctuation, and aging can cause your breasts to sag and lose their shape. But a breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that reshapes your breasts. You will have lifted, more shapely, natural breasts as a direct result of breast lift surgery. And lifted, shapely breasts enhance any figure!

After a breast lift procedure with board certified plastic surgeon Dr. DeLozier, you can expect firmer, more youthful-looking breasts.

Your Individual Goals for a Breast Lift

Nashville plastic surgeon Dr. DeLozier will discuss your breast lift cosmetic surgery goals with you realistically. Breast lifts are often performed in conjunction with breast augmentation (breast enlargement) surgery. You and Dr. DeLozier will discuss all the options available to you. Together the both of you will decide which procedures he will perform in order to achieve your desired results.

About Breast Lift Plastic Surgery

Dr. DeLozier’s skill and experience in mastopexy surgery means that your breast lift can usually be completed in one and a half hours. For your safety and comfort, you will be under general anesthesia and asleep during the procedure. Through new techniques, it is often possible to eliminate or significantly shorten your scar.

At DeLozier Cosmetic Surgery Center, we offer three options for surgical incisions for your breast lift procedure:

Full – Your surgeon makes an incision around the areola and vertically, down from the breast crease, and horizontally, along the breast crease. (Much like an anchor-shaped incision.)

No Vertical Scar – Your surgeon removes excess skin from the breast and is able to achieve the same aesthetic results without the appearance of a vertical scar.

Benelli– Your surgeon makes a circular incision around the areola to remove excess skin.

Dr. DeLozier commonly places an implant at the same time when performing a breast lift. This is typically done to increase fullness at the top of the breast due to loss of volume from pregnancy, or other factors.

Mastopexy (Breast Lift) Recovery

Following breast lift surgery, you will wear gauze and a surgical bra. Swelling and bruising subsides within a few days, and a softer support bra can be worn as you continue healing. At first, the swelling may make the breasts look a little flat. This is not permanent and your shape will become evident as the swelling subsides. Your nipples may be numb for a few weeks. In rare cases this condition is permanent. You should avoid exercise for a month or so. There are scars from the breast lift surgery, like any surgical procedure, which fade with time.

Breast Lift Results

Many women feel renewed and more confident after a mastopexy procedure. You will have lifted, more shapely, natural breasts as a direct result of breast lift surgery. This means that your clothing will fit differently. You may choose to wear styles and fabrics that you had always avoided—because you didn’t think you looked good in them. Having the breasts of your youth or the breasts of your dreams can give you personal feelings of joy and self-assurance that no push-up or rigid underwire bra can offer.
