About Breast Lift Plastic Surgery
Dr. DeLozier’s experience and skill in mastopexy surgery means that your breast lift surgery can be complete in only 1½ hours. For your safety and comfort, you will be under general anesthesia and asleep during the procedure. Through new techniques, it is often possible for Dr. DeLozier to eliminate or significantly shorten your scar.
Dr. DeLozier offers three options for surgical incisions for your breast lift procedure:
Full -Dr. DeLozier makes an incision around the areola and vertically, down from the breast crease, and horizontally, along the breast crease.
No Vertical Scar - Dr. DeLozier removes excess skin from the breast and is able to achieve the same aesthetic results without the appearance of a vertical scar.
Benelli- Dr. DeLozier will make two circular incisions in the border of the areola to remove excess skin.
Breast Lift Recovery
Following surgery, you will wear gauze and a surgical bra. Swelling and bruising subsides within a few days, and a softer support bra can be worn as you continue healing. Your nipples may be numb for a few weeks. In rare cases this condition is permanent. You should avoid exercise for a month or so. There can be scars from the breast lift surgery, which fade with time.
