Dr. Joe DeLozier III

Joe DeLozier is a fourth-generation physician. He is a board-certified plastic surgeon and completed his training at Vanderbilt University and the University of Pennsylvania. He returned from Philadelphia in 1991 and has been in practice in Nashville ever since.

Dr. DeLozier has built a distinguished surgical career with over 3 decades, performing thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures with an emphasis on natural-looking, balanced results.

He is widely recognized throughout Tennessee and beyond for his expertise in:

He has been married for 42 years to wife Dr Jan DeLozier. They have 3 daughters. Meg, Sarah, and Jan. He is passionate about his college Alma mater, Sewanee, where he served for many years as Chairman of the Board of Regents.

He is widely known in middle Tennessee as a skilled, compassionate surgeon. He is committed to the education of future doctors. He serves on the faculty of the Plastic Surgery department at Vanderbilt and has been a Sewanee summer intern for 34 years.

Beyond his distinguished career in medicine, Dr. DeLozier’s personal life reflects the same commitment and leadership he brings to his patients.

His connection to his alma mater runs deep as well. Dr. DeLozier served for many years as Chairman of the Board of Regents at Sewanee, contributing strategic guidance and passionate advocacy for the university’s mission and students.

Besides his work in Sewanee, he also remains continually involved in medical education, which includes serving on the faculty of the Plastic Surgery department at Vanderbilt University, where he helps mentor future surgeons.
